This means we give you protection not available from many of our competitors!
These ‘competitors’ take many forms: Spanish based companies, some who infer UK location and regulation ‘offering for sale’ in the UK accommodation & flights; Property owners privately renting; Individuals who ‘manage’ accommodation and who offer help with flights etc………the list is endless!
The common factor is that many trade outside the very regulations put in place to protect YOU!
In most circumstances YOU HAVE NO GUARANTEES, LITTLE OR DIFFICULT RECOURSE, AND NO FINANCIAL PROTECTION!

Why are we different and how do we protect you?
Longsands Travel Ltd is both a member and supplier of accommodation to The Global Travel Group plc (TGTG). TGTG is a major UK Travel Services Group.
By trading within the Group and by strict adherence to the Groups Customer Protection Guarantee procedures WE ENSURE YOUR PAYMENTS ARE SAFE. Your payments are paid into a trust account held with Barclays Bank where your money stays until ‘the contract is complete’ i.e. We do not get paid until you have received the holiday or travel services you have purchased.
TGTG also holds an ATOL licence and has appropriate bonding arrangements with the DTI. These factors and our ability as a retail agent for ATOL protected tour operators means our travel services are covered.
Our practice is compliant with The Package Travel, Package
Holiday, and Package Tour Regulations 1992.
